Dargan Forum 2026 - Delivering Ireland’s Green & Digital Transition
The Dargan Forum 2026 is almost here — and this is your last chance to register. In just over a week, on Thursday 25 June, our Main
Event takes place in the Carlisle Room of the Royal Marine Hotel on Marine Road, Dún Laoghaire. With places filling fast, now is the
moment to claim your free seat.
Hosted by Eoin Costello of the Dargan Institute, the Main Event is a half-day gathering (9.30am–1pm) bringing together voices from government, business, health, transport and renewable energy to explore how technology is delivering Ireland's twin green and digital transition. Across an Official Opening and three themed sessions — Sustainability, Resilience and Prosperity — the day looks honestly at how that work translates into real regional growth.
The Forum has established itself as Europe's boutique conference for the Twin Transition, run in association with DLR County Council and supported by Bank of Ireland, Connected Hubs – .ie, RWE Dublin Array, Iarnród Éireann Irish Rail, Dún Laoghaire Business Association, Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Chamber of Commerce and Whelehan Wines.
A few of the people joining us on the day:
- Annalise Murphy, Olympic silver medallist and Head of Operations at SportsKey — opening keynote
- Lorraine Heskin, founder of Gourmet Food Parlour — second keynote
- Frank Curran, Chief Executive, Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council
- Professor Martin Curley, Maynooth University
- June Butler, Bank of Ireland — practical green supports for SMEs
- Vanessa O'Connell, RWE Dublin Array, and Michael Power, Iarnród Éireann Irish Rail
- Robert Burns, Chief Executive, Monaghan County Council — harnessing artificial intelligence
For Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown, the Forum is a chance to put the county's local authority, businesses and innovators at the centre of a national conversation — showing how green and digital strategies translate into tangible growth across the built environment, healthcare, public services and enterprise. Tea, coffee and a light lunch are provided, with plenty of room to talk between sessions, which is half the value of the day.
The Main Event is just one of eleven events in the expanded Dargan Forum 2026.
Others you may want to explore include:
- Event 2 — Dargan Forum Playbook for Regional Development, hosted by Seán Tobin (.ie): 13 practitioners on what actually works in
regional development.

sustainable, connected towns.
